As part of the Public Affairs team, you will help shape our presence across the website, print publications, social media channels, newsletters, and external media collaborations, producing photo, video, and graphic content and capturing our programs and events on site. You will implement content strategies and populate the institutional content calendar through branded design and thematic content work, with growing independence.

This role will suit you if you are highly creative and digitally fluent, have a keen eye for visual storytelling and digital trends, and enjoy producing content for varied topics and audiences in a fast-paced international environment. The position is based at Schloss Leopoldskron, home of Salzburg Global in Salzburg, Austria. It is a one-year contract, expected to start in January 2027.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare multimedia content (photo, video, short-form clips, graphics) for cross-channel use, including social media publication, email distribution, and digital reporting.
  • Contribute ideas for new and repeatable content formats, informed by audience behavior, platform needs, and thematic priorities.
  • Support content planning around the institutional event calendar, preparing brand-aligned digital stories and formats for agreed programs and events.
  • Prepare content in line with Salzburg Global, Sciana, and Schloss Leopoldskron brand and editorial guidelines, adapting materials to branded templates and layouts across print and digital formats.
  • Capture content during online and in-person programs and events, including on-site videography, photography, and documentation.
  • Track engagement and content performance data across channels, and share the results with the Public Affairs team.
  • Communicate proactively with the Public Affairs team and colleagues across departments to align content, timelines, and branding, responding constructively to briefs, feedback, and short-notice changes.
  • Work respectfully with colleagues and guests, supporting the values of Salzburg Global and Schloss Leopoldskron – Welcoming, Exchange, Fairness, and Transformation.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, multimedia arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), with initial professional experience producing multimedia and branded written content for agencies or international organizations.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign), or similar editing tools like CapCut or Canva.
  • Interest in social media analytics and tools such as Hootsuite, Mailchimp, and TYPO3.
  • Native or equivalent proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from all backgrounds and at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours, according to program needs.
  • Working proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Schloss Leopoldskron and Salzburg Global.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive starting salary as noted above.
  • Modest relocation package will be offered for candidates outside of Salzburg.
  • Standard Austrian benefits include health insurance, pension contributions, sick pay, and 25 days of annual leave.
  • Salzburg Global-specific perks include free daily staff lunch, annual staff social events, special rates for Schloss Leopoldskron and the Meierhof Bar, and discounts hotels and local tourism attractions.
